Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable, safety-minded CDL Driver to transport and deliver freight efficiently. This is a physical, hands-on role where you will operate commercial vehicles and actively manage cargo. You will handle the loading and unloading process, ensuring goods arrive securely and on time.
Core Responsibilities
- Vehicle Operation: Safely drive commercial tractor-trailers, box trucks and flatbed trucks on assigned routes.
- Cargo Management: Manually load and unload freight at delivery locations.
- Physical Labor: Lift and move items weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Teamwork: Coordinate with partners for heavy team lifting tasks.
- Securing Freight: Use straps, chains, or pallets to secure cargo.
- Inspections: Complete mandated pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Compliance: Maintain logs and adhere to all DOT regulations.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients during freight drop-offs.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
- License: Valid Class A, B or C Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Medical: Current Department of Transportation (DOT) medical card. (can budget for cost reimbursement if you need to renew)
- Experience: Clean driving record with no recent major violations.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to stand, bend, and lift 75 lbs repeatedly.
- Availability: Flexible schedule Mon - Sat as some shifts could start early based on distance to job site. Report To and Return To same location daily.
- Screening: Must pass required pre-employment drug and alcohol tests.
