Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Express Technician to join our fast-paced automotive service team. The Express Technician is responsible for performing essential vehicle maintenance tasks—including oil changes, tire checks, and fluid top-offs—in accordance with dealership and factory standards. The ideal candidate will have a basic mechanical understanding of automobiles and a proactive, customer-oriented attitude.

This is not an entry-level position. Prior experience performing oil changes, fluid checks, and other light-duty service work is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes, lubrication services, and filter replacements as per repair orders.
• Check and adjust tire air pressure and inspect tire condition.
• Inspect and top off all vehicle fluids (coolant, windshield washer, brake, transmission, etc.).
• Conduct multi-point inspections and identify potential maintenance needs.
• Operate and maintain lubrication equipment and service tools.
• Drive and operate a wide variety of vehicles, both automatic and manual transmissions.
• Ensure all equipment is in proper working condition and report issues promptly.
• Communicate any findings or recommended services to the Service Advisor.
• Maintain a clean and professional work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Service Manager.

Qualifications

• Must have prior experience in light-duty vehicle servicing (oil changes, tire checks, fluids, filters).
• Basic mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Professional appearance and customer-first attitude.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Able to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Willing to undergo pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Preferred Experience (Not Required)

• Previous experience working in a dealership or quick-lube shop.
• Familiarity with manufacturer service standards.
• ASE or OEM certifications a plus.
